About the role
Responsibilities
- Define the NVLink Fusion architecture, utilizing industry-leading NVIDIA scale-up and scale-out technologies as a foundation.
- Establish software abstraction layers and reference software required for partners to extend NVIDIA's rack-scale architecture.
- Collaborate directly with major customers to align their product roadmaps with NVIDIA’s strategic direction.
- Partner with business partners and vendors to shape products that meet NVIDIA's technical requirements.
- Mentor architects and engineering teams to develop future technical leaders.
- Make critical technical decisions in ambiguous environments and mitigate execution risks through a left-shift strategy.
Requirements
- BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 16+ years of experience in system architecture and design.
- Deep expertise in designing architectures for scalable, performant server systems, specifically at the software/hardware interface.
- Extensive experience with complex system software for accelerators such as GPUs, DPUs, or FPGAs.
- Expertise in both out-of-band and in-band management architectures.
- Proficiency with device management protocols including MCTP, PLDM, and RDE.
- Strong knowledge of system management protocols such as Redfish and IPMI.
- Proven ability to implement left-shift strategies to de-risk program execution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of cloud and cluster-level deployment and management systems.
- Active participation or contributions to standards bodies such as OCP and DMTF.
- Familiarity with CXL, UCIe, and other chip-to-chip (C2C) technology architectures.
- Knowledge of advanced storage and networking technologies.
