About the role

About the Company

Armada is the hyperscaler for the edge, delivering modular AI infrastructure from first deployment to AI factory with speed, scale and sovereignty. We are building the infrastructure layer for sovereign and edge AI - rugged, deployable compute for customers that cannot rely on centralized cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Architect the Armada Edge Platform (AEP) for seamless orchestration of compute and AI workloads
  • Drive the architectural roadmap for visionary initiatives like Data Centers in Space
  • Collaborate with strategic industry partners to co-design deep-tech solutions
  • Define the 3–5 year technical roadmap in partnership with company leadership
  • Act as the final point of escalation for complex architectural challenges
  • Lead Proof-of-Concepts for next-generation capabilities like in-orbit inference
  • Mentor Staff and Principal engineers to foster architectural rigor

Requirements

  • 15+ years of software engineering experience
  • Proven track record as a Distinguished Engineer, Fellow, or equivalent senior technical leader
  • Deep understanding of Data Center operations and Compute architectures (CPU/GPU/NPU)
  • Expert-level knowledge of distributed systems and data storage in resource-constrained environments
  • Mastery of Go, C++, or Rust
  • Experience working across company lines to build industry-standard technical solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of networking stacks optimized for satellite and terrestrial mesh networks
  • Experience or interest in orbital mechanics or radiation-tolerant software design
  • Experience building operations for large fleets of remote, distributed devices in harsh environments
