Distinguished Engineer - Card Tech

Responsibilities

• Articulate and evangelize a bold technical vision for the Card Technology domain
• Decompose complex problems into practical, operational, and scalable solutions
• Ensure the quality of technical design and implementation across critical repositories
• Serve as an authoritative expert on non-functional system characteristics, including performance, scalability, and operability
• Act as a role model and mentor within the tech community to strengthen engineering expertise
• Develop full-stack applications with a product engineering mindset, balancing simplicity with flexibility
• Drive innovation by integrating advanced technologies like Artificial Intelligence into servicing experiences

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 7+ years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture
• 7+ years of experience in enterprise architecture and design patterns
• 5+ years of experience in cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• 5+ years of experience in security engineering and architecture
• 5+ years of experience in data architecture, specifically Event Driven and Real-Time architectures

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture
• 10+ years of professional coding experience in languages such as Java, Python, Go, or TypeScript
• 8+ years of experience in the full system development lifecycle
• Experience applying AI or Machine Learning concepts to engineering challenges
• Deep practical knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and observability tooling
