About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead technical programs and cross-functional teams to deliver mission-critical capabilities within a $40M+ project and R&D portfolio
- Partner with business and technical teams to plan new programs and guide responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
- Identify and build requirements for milestones, deliverables, and schedules to ensure successful program execution
- Act as a technical resource manager by allocating and tracking personnel, equipment, and supporting resources
- Drive the transition from prototype projects to production-ready products while maintaining quality standards
- Support senior and executive-level reporting, presentations, and proposals
- Plan technical resources for facility modifications, new construction, and the relocation of R&D capabilities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline plus 12+ years of directly related experience
- Proven experience serving as a technical liaison, including negotiating deliverables and milestones
- Experience with manufacturing, infrastructure, architecture, or engineering projects and processes
- Experience managing technical portfolios of $20M+ including cost, schedule, and performance
- Technical project management experience (e.g., PMP certification)
- Experience interfacing with internal and external executive management
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) Q security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience defining and executing multi-year strategic plans for complex engineering programs
- Experience guiding technical teams through the RFP process
- Experience managing larger portfolios of $50M+
- Strong oral, written, and presentation skills tailored for senior-level audiences
