Distinguished E&O Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead technical programs and cross-functional teams to deliver mission-critical capabilities within a $40M+ project and R&D portfolio
• Partner with business and technical teams to plan new programs and guide responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
• Identify and build requirements for milestones, deliverables, and schedules to ensure successful program execution
• Act as a technical resource manager by allocating and tracking personnel, equipment, and supporting resources
• Drive the transition from prototype projects to production-ready products while maintaining quality standards
• Support senior and executive-level reporting, presentations, and proposals
• Plan technical resources for facility modifications, new construction, and the relocation of R&D capabilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline plus 12+ years of directly related experience
• Proven experience serving as a technical liaison, including negotiating deliverables and milestones
• Experience with manufacturing, infrastructure, architecture, or engineering projects and processes
• Experience managing technical portfolios of $20M+ including cost, schedule, and performance
• Technical project management experience (e.g., PMP certification)
• Experience interfacing with internal and external executive management
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) Q security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience defining and executing multi-year strategic plans for complex engineering programs
• Experience guiding technical teams through the RFP process
• Experience managing larger portfolios of $50M+
• Strong oral, written, and presentation skills tailored for senior-level audiences
