Distinguished Applied AI Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define and accelerate the AI strategy for Autodesk’s go-to-market (GTM) ecosystem, translating opportunities into prioritized investments
• Guide build-vs-buy decisions by evaluating internal ML capabilities against external AI partners and vendors
• Provide technical guidance to ML practitioners, application developers, and business users to ensure effective AI adoption
• Influence GTM platform architecture by identifying integration points within the technology stack, including CRM and marketing automation
• Operationalize Responsible AI principles, ensuring transparency, fairness, and explainability in all initiatives
• Codify scalable AI patterns such as RAG, recommendation systems, and conversational frameworks for consistent deployment
• Establish success metrics and evaluation frameworks to connect AI initiatives to tangible business outcomes

Requirements

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
• 15-20 years of experience in the software industry
• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML, data strategy, or platform-driven transformation roles
• Deep understanding of AI ecosystems, including LLMs, GenAI, and Information Retrieval
• Experience with modern SaaS architectures and operationalizing technology in large, matrixed organizations
• Familiarity with Responsible AI frameworks and compliance considerations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading AI strategy or platform development within large-scale digital or customer experience organizations
• Hands-on familiarity with enterprise GTM systems such as Salesforce, Segment, or Gainsight
• Understanding of ML platform operations, data architecture, and instrumentation design
• Proven track record of scaling AI prototypes into production environments
