About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, architect, and build real-time user interface applications for controlling automated aircraft systems
- Develop applications ranging from real-time embedded UIs on aviation-grade hardware to browser-based applications
- Support prototyping workflows, experimental test flight programs, and reference implementations for certified displays
- Collaborate with software engineers, designers, systems engineers, and pilots to build safe, user-centered systems
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience developing user-facing software for high-performance or mission-critical applications
- 5+ years professional experience in C or C++
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with DO-178C
- Thorough understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, and networking
- Expertise developing user-facing software requirements and following graphical specifications
- Experience with human-in-the-loop testing and certification campaigns
- Demonstrated understanding of core browser technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
- Private pilot license
- Ability to work in a self-directed manner in a fast-paced environment
