Display Test Engineer, Optical Metrology

Responsibilities

• Lead the bring-up, qualification, and lifecycle ownership of cleanroom test tools for microdisplay characterization and production
• Define optical and electrical test strategies, translating quality requirements into measurable specifications
• Architect, write, and optimize automated test frameworks and programs for high-throughput measurement
• Establish measurement standards including calibration, correlation methodology, and measurement system analysis (Gauge R&R, stability)
• Drive root-cause analysis of test program issues, equipment failures, and display defects
• Manage vendor and manufacturing-partner relationships to ensure performance and capability improvements
• Lead the transfer of test systems from new-technology introduction through high-volume manufacturing
• Collaborate cross-functionally with display, process, packaging, and manufacturing engineering teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Optics/Photonics, Physics, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in semiconductor test, display test engineering, or optical metrology
• Proven experience leading test development and equipment bring-up programs end-to-end
• Experience with cleanroom tool ownership, including bring-up, qualification, and maintenance
• Experience writing and debugging test programs in Python, MATLAB, or an equivalent language
• Experience managing vendor relationships and driving equipment improvements
• Experience translating device requirements into technical test specifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with microdisplay or micro LED technologies
• Proficiency in scripting with Lua
• Experience qualifying high-throughput testing equipment in a cleanroom or fab environment
• Background in optical measurement instrumentation such as spectroradiometers or imaging colorimeters
• Experience driving test strategies across multiple global manufacturing sites
• Proficiency in a language relevant to international equipment vendors (e.g., Mandarin Chinese)
