Dispatcher

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and control primary production equipment and materials according to instructions and regulations.
• Perform pre-shift inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure functionality and safety.
• Monitor the loading process continuously, reporting any abnormal conditions or production deviations.
• Load trucks in accordance with required tempo, standards, and weekly production schedules.
• Conduct site safety inspections, including checking high walls for stability and inspecting production faces for misfires.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and functionality, ensuring routine maintenance is carried out to prevent breakdowns.
• Optimize equipment schedules and facilitate effective shift handovers to minimize operational downtime.

Requirements

• Grade 12 or N3 qualification.
• Valid South African Driver's Licence.
• Valid Red Permit and Dover Certificate.
• Valid FEL, Excavator, or Track Bulldozer licences.
• Relevant Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) licences.
• 2-3 years of relevant mining operational experience.
• In-depth knowledge of equipment operational systems, such as collision prevention and fire suppression.

Preferred Qualifications

• DMRE-approved Blasting certificate.
• Comp A certification.
