Dispatcher

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize driver routes to maximize fleet utilization
• Assign routes to drivers using proprietary software
• Respond to internal client calls and emails professionally
• Enter information into the computer system to document calls and create clients
• Act as a resource for drivers regarding work hours and problem-solving
• Perform daily verification of transport documents (logbooks, delivery documents, etc.)
• Collaborate on establishing timelines for special projects
• Manage road accident situations in the absence of a supervisor
• Provide training and assist with the integration of new drivers

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Strong analytical and complex problem-solving skills
• Extensive knowledge of Quebec, Ontario, and New Brunswick geography
• Availability outside regular business hours for driver emergencies
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and dispatch software (Samsara)
• Knowledge of transport laws (C-21, Law 430, load securing, etc.)
• Class 1 driver's license (asset)
• Bilingualism in English and French (asset)
