Dispatcher

Responsibilities

• Planning and organizing driver routes optimally to ensure maximum use of the truck fleet
• Assigning routes to drivers using custom software
• Answering internal customer calls efficiently, courteously, and professionally
• Entering information into the computer system to document calls and perform follow-ups
• Acting as the point of contact for drivers regarding working hours and resolving issues
• Weighing trucks on scales and integrating data into the system
• Processing customs paperwork requests for U.S. drivers
• Maintaining and monitoring inventory in supply yards on a daily basis

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Strong analytical and complex problem-solving skills
• Extensive knowledge of geographic regions in Quebec, Ontario, the Maritimes, and Maine
• Availability outside of regular working hours to handle driver emergencies
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Samsara dispatch software
• Bilingualism in spoken and written communication is an asset
