About the role
Responsibilities
- Plan daily deliveries and forecast the number of plans to be delivered
- Ensure On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery targets are met daily
- Manage outbound staff complement and daily schedules in coordination with Client Planning
- Compile daily, weekly, and monthly reports
- Manage financial risks by overseeing damages, strapping, and wrapping processes
- Oversee the loading process and staging lanes to minimize product risk
- Manage staff training, development, succession planning, and performance reviews
- Ensure adherence to SHEQ regulations and PPE compliance
Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years of dispatching experience in a Distribution Centre (DC) environment
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and receiving processes
- Grade 12 or equivalent NQF4 qualification
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office
- Strong numeric and verbal reasoning abilities
- Excellent English communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bcom or Diploma in Logistics/Supply Chain Management
