Dispatch Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Monitor live shift activity and intervene to recover delays or disruptions
• Manage driver workforce performance, communication, and allocation
• Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue, and Dangerous Goods (DG) requirements
• Optimise equipment and resources to reduce downtime and inefficiencies
• Build strong relationships with drivers, customers, and internal teams
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across dispatch operations

Requirements

• Experience in operations, scheduling, dispatch, or fast-paced environments
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise in real time
• A safety-first approach and willingness to learn CoR, fatigue, and DG requirements
• Strong computer skills and comfort working across multiple systems
• Ability to work a 12-hour rotating roster across day and night shifts
• Resilience in a high-demand, 24/7 operational environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with transport systems such as Ortec or WinDMS
