Dishwasher/Kitchen Steward

Responsibilities

• Load, run, and unload the dishwasher with utensils, glassware, cookware, plates, and trays
• Ensure all dishes are clean and sanitized before putting them away
• Maintain the dishwasher area to ensure it is clean, organized, and operating at peak performance
• Mop and sanitize the dish room, kitchen floors, and dining room hallways
• Remove trash at the end of each shift to maintain safety and sanitation
• Sanitize work areas and adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines
• Assist with deliveries and basic food preparation tasks
• Safely operate a trash compactor and ensure cleanliness of the area
• Collaborate with kitchen team members to maintain efficient workflow

Requirements

• Previous dishwasher or kitchen steward experience in a high-volume environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Availability to work weekends and holidays
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment and tools
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel, and reach for long periods
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 lbs
