About the role
Responsibilities
- Set up the dining room and serve meals to clients
- Maintain dining room cleanliness, including tables, chairs, and floors
- Wash, dry, and store all kitchen dishes, pots, pans, and utensils
- Clean kitchen areas, equipment, stoves, fryers, ovens, and washrooms daily
- Sweep and wash floors in the kitchen, stockroom, and dining areas
- Restock washroom and cleaning supplies daily
- Assist with receiving and stocking food and kitchen supply orders
- Adhere to safe food handling and hygiene procedures to prevent cross-contamination
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and follow all health and safety policies
Requirements
- High school completion or equivalent
- Standard First Aid, CPR, and AED certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Up to 3 months of related experience
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks like bending and kneeling
- Ability to provide a satisfactory Background Check
