About the role
Responsibilities
- Set up the dining room and serve meals to clients
- Maintain dining room cleanliness by tidying tables and chairs
- Wash, dry, and store all kitchen dishes, pots, pans, and utensils
- Sweep and wash floors in the kitchen, stockroom, washrooms, and dining area
- Clean kitchen equipment, stoves, fryers, ovens, and surfaces daily
- Restock cleaning and washroom supplies
- Assist with receiving and stocking food and kitchen supply orders
- Adhere to safe food handling and hygiene procedures to prevent cross-contamination
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and follow all health and safety policies
Requirements
- High school completion or equivalent
- Standard First Aid, CPR, and AED certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks like bending and kneeling
- Successful completion of a vulnerable sector screening and background check
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
