About the role
Responsibilities
- Set up the dining room and serve meals to clients
- Maintain dining room cleanliness by tidying tables and chairs
- Wash, dry, and store all kitchen dishes, pots, pans, and utensils
- Sweep and wash floors in the kitchen, stockroom, washrooms, and dining area
- Clean kitchen equipment, including stoves, fryers, and ovens, on a daily basis
- Restock cleaning and washroom supplies
- Assist with the preparation of simple meals and drinks
- Adhere to safe food handling procedures and hygiene standards
- Assist with receiving and stocking food and kitchen supply orders
Requirements
- High school completion or equivalent
- Standard First Aid, CPR, and AED certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass a Vulnerable Sector screening
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift/move up to 30 lbs
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Up to 3 months of related experience preferred
