Discovery Shop Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily operations for a retail resale thrift store, including donation acquisition, processing, and merchandising.
• Manage and develop a small team of employees and a large group of volunteers (30+) to ensure seamless store operations.
• Drive sales performance and implement strategic initiatives, such as loyalty programs and promotional events, to meet revenue goals.
• Provide exceptional customer service to both shoppers and donors, serving as a primary point of contact.
• Oversee inventory management, supply procurement, and staff/volunteer scheduling.
• Partner with marketing to create engaging content and communicate the organization's mission to the community.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 4 years of retail management experience.
• Proven experience leading staff or volunteers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Teams, Excel, Outlook).
• Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Prior experience in a resale or specialty store environment.
• Experience utilizing retail software, including Point of Sale (POS) and reporting tools.
