Discharge Control Technician

Responsibilities

• Manage the processing of discharge permits and administrative files
• Perform in-situ sampling of wastewater and interpret laboratory analysis
• Install and maintain measurement equipment such as flow meters and quality sensors
• Interpret local regulations and Maximum Permissible Limits (MPL) for pollutants
• Analyze industrial processes to anticipate potential contaminants and treatment needs
• Use GIS and office tools for document management and discharge point location
• Design and calculate measurement networks for in-situ installation
• Draft technical-legal reports to justify authorizations or sanctions

Requirements

• University degree in Environmental Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or Chemistry
• 2 to 4 years of experience in discharge permit processing
• Experience in laboratory or field sampling and equipment programming
• Knowledge of Spanish Administrative Procedure Law (Ley 39/2015)
• Valid B driving license for field inspections
• Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
• Specialized training in wastewater treatment or water cycle management
