Disability Support Worker

Responsibilities

• Provide high-care and personal support to male clients with complex needs, including acquired brain injuries and mental health challenges
• Champion choice and control by supporting clients with daily routines, goals, and community participation
• Adhere to Behavior Intervention Strategies (BIS) and care plans, including the implementation of restrictive practices as directed by clinical teams
• Encourage capacity building, hygiene, domestic duties, and the development of safe relationships
• Maintain thorough report writing and utilize IT/computer skills for documentation
• Demonstrate resilience and adaptability in a complex, high-care, and potentially physically demanding environment

Requirements

• P2 NSW Driver's License or higher
• Regular access to your own vehicle
• NDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance
• Working with Children Check
• Strong IT and computer literacy
• Excellent report writing skills
• Ability to work a stable fortnightly rotating roster
