About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality personal care including showering, toileting, dressing, and mobility support
- Support participants with complex physical, behavioural, and psychosocial needs
- Follow individual NDIS support plans and promote participant independence and daily living skills
- Assist with medication administration and maintain accurate documentation, including case notes and incident reports
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living environment in accordance with WHS and infection control requirements
- Build positive, trusting relationships with participants to support their choice and control
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centred care
Requirements
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability) or an equivalent qualification
- Experience supporting people with disability, specifically those with higher or complex support needs
- Demonstrated experience supporting people with Lived Experience of Homelessness
- Proven experience and confidence in supporting participants with behaviours of concern
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and relevant vaccinations
- Strong communication skills and experience working in a residential or supported living environment
- Understanding of the NDIS framework and person-centred practice
