Disability Support Worker

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality personal care including showering, toileting, dressing, and mobility support
• Support participants with complex physical, behavioural, and psychosocial needs
• Follow individual NDIS support plans and promote participant independence and daily living skills
• Assist with medication administration and maintain accurate documentation, including case notes and incident reports
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living environment in accordance with WHS and infection control requirements
• Build positive, trusting relationships with participants to support their choice and control
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centred care

Requirements

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability) or an equivalent qualification
• Experience supporting people with disability, specifically those with higher or complex support needs
• Demonstrated experience supporting people with Lived Experience of Homelessness
• Proven experience and confidence in supporting participants with behaviours of concern
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and relevant vaccinations
• Strong communication skills and experience working in a residential or supported living environment
• Understanding of the NDIS framework and person-centred practice
