About the role
Responsibilities
- Follow person-centred support and behaviour plans to ensure individual needs are met
- Provide support with high-intensity daily personal activities, including peg feeding and catheter care
- Facilitate client goal achievement through meaningful community and lifestyle activities
- Maintain thorough and accurate record keeping regarding client progress and care
- Build positive, respectful relationships with clients, their families, and colleagues
- Advocate for client choice, control, and independence in their daily lives
Requirements
- Proven experience working with people living with disability
- Experience managing behaviours of concern and high medical needs
- Experience with manual handling and hoisting techniques
- Unrestricted Australian driver’s licence and confidence driving large wheelchair vans
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificates
- Ability to work a variety of casual shifts, including early mornings, split shifts, and active night shifts
