Disability Support Worker

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to clients with complex needs, including assistance with daily living and personal care
• Support people with disability to access and participate in their community
• Adhere to individual support plans and work towards achieving each client's specific goals
• Advocate for clients to improve outcomes by engaging with them and their families
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure a safe environment for all clients

Requirements

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability)
• Previous experience supporting people with disability, including experience with behaviours of concern or mental health challenges
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificates
• Full unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence
• Proficiency in manual handling techniques
• Ability to work a 24/7 roster, including weekends and sleepovers
• Ability to clear all state-based probity checks, including an NDIS Worker Screening Check
