Disability Support Worker

Responsibilities

• Provide active support to people with disability in Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Lifestyle settings
• Follow person-centred support and behaviour plans
• Facilitate client goal achievement through meaningful activities
• Maintain thorough record keeping
• Build positive relationships with clients, families, and colleagues
• Advocate for client choice and control
• Provide personal care and assistance with daily living tasks

Requirements

• A passion for working with people with disability
• Ability to work with challenging behaviours
• Unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
• Ability to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check, Blue Card (WWCC), and NDIS Clearance
