Disability Support Worker

Responsibilities

• Follow and actively participate in person-centred active support and behaviour plans
• Provide personal care, stoma care, and regular manual handling
• Facilitate client goal achievement through meaningful community activities
• Transport clients to day programs, movies, and shopping trips
• Maintain thorough and accurate record keeping
• Build positive relationships with clients, families, and colleagues
• Advocate for client choice, control, and independence

Requirements

• Experience in providing personal care and stoma care
• Ability to perform regular manual handling tasks
• Confidence in driving a wheelchair van
• Unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificates
• Ability to obtain NDIS Clearance and pass a National Criminal History Record Check
• Ability to commit to a permanent part-time roster (48 hours per fortnight)
