Disability Support Worker

Responsibilities

• Support clients with mental health challenges, behaviours of concern, and complex needs
• Assist with personal care including bathing, toileting, and dressing
• Advocate for client choice, expression, and active daily engagement
• Adapt support to the individual preferences of each client
• Provide support across a 24/7 roster, including essential sleepover shifts

Requirements

• Strong background in mental health support
• Ability to implement positive behaviour support strategies
• Unrestricted New South Wales driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
• Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003 or HLTAID011)
• NDIS Worker Screening Check and National Criminal History Record Check
• Basic proficiency with mobile and desktop technology
