Disability Support Worker

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred active support and daily living assistance to people living with disability.
• Perform High Intensity Daily Personal Activities (HIDPA), including medication assistance and complex bowel support.
• Assist with personal care, wheelchair assistance, and daily tasks in shared housing or private homes.
• Track and document client needs through thorough and accurate record-keeping.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families, and the support team.
• Advocate for client choice and control while ensuring safety and compliance.

Requirements

• Unrestricted NSW driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003 or HLTAID011).
• Ability to clear an NDIS Worker Screening Check and National Criminal History Record Check.
• Demonstrated ability to use basic technology and software on mobile and desktop devices.
• Availability to work specific rostered shifts, including active night shifts.
