Disability Support Worker

Responsibilities

• Provide active person-centred support to individuals with disabilities
• Follow behaviour support plans to manage behaviours of concern
• Promote client goals through engaging and enjoyable social activities
• Provide personal care and assist with daily living tasks
• Ensure safe manual handling and the use of hoisting equipment
• Maintain a safe and culturally appropriate environment for all clients

Requirements

• Experience in providing personal care
• Experience working with individuals with complex health needs
• Experience implementing behaviour support plans
• Unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificates
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
• Ability to work a 24/7 roster, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
• Sensitivity to Aboriginal culture and the issues affecting Aboriginal people
