Disability Support Worker

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one assistance with daily living, including personal care and hygiene
• Support clients with community access and social engagement
• Assist with domestic tasks and household chores
• Perform manual handling duties, including the use of hoists for transfers
• Maintain and monitor person-centred plans
• Document client progress and maintain accurate progress notes

Requirements

• Previous experience supporting people with disability in a home care or community setting
• Experience providing personal care and supporting individuals with high medical needs (e.g., bowel and catheter care)
• Proficiency in manual handling and hoist transfers
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
• Australian Driver's Licence and a reliable, insured vehicle
• Ability to clear a National Criminal History Record Check and obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check
