Disability Support Worker

Responsibilities

• Follow person-centred support and behaviour plans
• Provide assistance with daily personal activities and personal care
• Facilitate client goal achievement through meaningful activities
• Maintain thorough record keeping
• Build positive relationships with clients, families, and colleagues
• Advocate for client choice and control

Requirements

• Experience working with people with disability
• Experience managing behaviours of concern
• Experience working with high medical needs
• Manual Handling and Hoisting experience
• Confidence in driving a wheelchair van
• Unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
• NDIS Clearance and National Criminal History Record Check
• Ability to work casual shifts (including short shifts and active night shifts) across a 7-day roster in Arncliffe and Carlton
