Disability Support Leader

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate high-volume 24/7 service operations for three Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes
• Provide proactive leadership, coaching, and mentoring to a team of approximately 20 Disability Support Workers
• Manage unexpected leave coverage to ensure continuity of support services
• Effectively manage crisis situations and complex behavioural incidents
• Act as a key liaison with families to navigate complex care dynamics
• Ensure compliance through mandatory reporting, risk management, and resource optimisation
• Foster a culture of resilience, adaptability, and competency in active support

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience delivering services for people with complex care needs and high behaviours
• Diploma in Social & Community Services or equivalent relevant experience
• Current unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
• Strong influencing, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to clear a National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check
