Disability Services Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Review incoming disability documentation to determine reasonable accommodations and ensure compliance with disability law.
• Meet with students to arrange accommodations and address follow-up needs from students, faculty, staff, and parents.
• Coordinate contracted services including real-time captioning, sign language interpreting, and note-taking.
• Hire, train, and supervise undergraduate student office assistants.
• Support test proctoring operations and assist with the procurement of materials in accessible formats.
• Act as a liaison for campus partners to facilitate cross-campus collaboration.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum of two years of professional experience.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize tasks in a flexible manner.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with disability law and working with individuals with disabling conditions.
• Experience working with emerging adults in an educational setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Previous customer service experience.
