About the role
Responsibilities
- Review incoming disability documentation to determine reasonable accommodations and ensure compliance with disability law.
- Meet with students to arrange accommodations and address follow-up needs from students, faculty, staff, and parents.
- Coordinate contracted services including real-time captioning, sign language interpreting, and note-taking.
- Hire, train, and supervise undergraduate student office assistants.
- Support test proctoring operations and assist with the procurement of materials in accessible formats.
- Act as a liaison for campus partners to facilitate cross-campus collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Minimum of two years of professional experience.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize tasks in a flexible manner.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with disability law and working with individuals with disabling conditions.
- Experience working with emerging adults in an educational setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Previous customer service experience.
