Disability Development & Support Officer

Responsibilities

• Follow person-centred support and behaviour plans to assist clients in achieving their goals
• Facilitate meaningful activities to promote client independence and community access
• Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities
• Maintain thorough and accurate record keeping regarding client progress and support
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families, and colleagues
• Advocate for client choice, control, and individual rights

Requirements

• Bilingual proficiency in Cantonese and English
• Experience working with behaviour support plans and managing behaviours of concern
• Proven experience in providing personal care and manual handling
• Certificate IV in Disability or a similar relevant qualification
• Current Senior First Aid (Level 2) Certificate
• Current unrestricted Driver Licence and willingness to drive a company van
• Ability to commit to a set permanent part-time roster, including sleepover shifts
