Disability Development & Support Officer

Responsibilities

• Follow person-centred support and behaviour plans
• Facilitate client goal achievement through meaningful activities
• Maintain thorough record keeping
• Build positive relationships with clients, families, and colleagues
• Advocate for client choice and control
• Provide personal care and daily living assistance in shared housing or private homes

Requirements

• Certificate IV in Disability, Community Welfare, or a similar field
• Experience with manual handling
• Previous experience working with behaviours of concern
• Understanding of behaviour support plans
• Unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
• Ability to work a 24/7 roster, including sleepover shifts
