About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide active, person-centred support to five people with disability living in a Supported Independent Living home
- Follow individual behaviour support plans and mealtime management plans
- Facilitate client goal achievement through meaningful activities and social outings
- Maintain thorough and accurate record keeping
- Build positive, respectful relationships with clients, families, and colleagues
- Advocate for client choice, control, and independence
Requirements
- Cert IV in Disability or a similar relevant qualification
- Experience working with behaviour support plans and managing behaviours of concern
- Experience with mealtime management plans
- Experience in providing personal care and manual handling
- Current Senior First Aid (level 2) Certificate
- Current unrestricted Driver Licence and willingness to drive a company van
- A genuine love for cats
- Ability to commit to a set permanent part-time roster, including sleepover shifts
