Disability Development and Support Officer

Responsibilities

• Provide active, person-centred support to five people with disability living in a Supported Independent Living home
• Follow individual behaviour support plans and mealtime management plans
• Facilitate client goal achievement through meaningful activities and social outings
• Maintain thorough and accurate record keeping
• Build positive, respectful relationships with clients, families, and colleagues
• Advocate for client choice, control, and independence

Requirements

• Cert IV in Disability or a similar relevant qualification
• Experience working with behaviour support plans and managing behaviours of concern
• Experience with mealtime management plans
• Experience in providing personal care and manual handling
• Current Senior First Aid (level 2) Certificate
• Current unrestricted Driver Licence and willingness to drive a company van
• A genuine love for cats
• Ability to commit to a set permanent part-time roster, including sleepover shifts
