Director/VP of Fraud

About the Company

ClarityPay is a fast-growing fintech empowering enterprise merchants with smarter, more adaptive pay-over-time solutions, including point-of-sale financing and "Buy Now, Pay Later" programs.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the enterprise-wide fraud risk management framework, policies, and standards.
• Manage total cost of risk, including fraud losses, false positives, and operational expenses.
• Provide independent risk oversight and effective challenge to Fraud Operations and Business Units.
• Oversee the fraud incident management lifecycle, including root cause analysis and remediation.
• Lead the strategic implementation of KYC, Identity Verification (IDV), and anti-Account Takeover (ATO) protocols.
• Partner with Engineering and Data Science to drive the roadmap for automated risk capabilities and machine learning models.
• Develop monitoring systems to detect fraud rings and anomalous patterns across merchant channels.
• Provide risk advisory support for all new product launches and strategic projects.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive experience in Risk Management.
• 3-5 years of leadership experience focused on fraud detection and prevention in FinTech, banking, or payments.
• Deep expertise in fraud defense tools, rules engines, device intelligence, and machine learning models.
• Expert proficiency in SQL.
• Proficiency in Python or R for large-scale data manipulation and pattern detection.
• Strong working knowledge of financial crime typologies and KYC/AML regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and mentor teams of analysts.
