Lyte builds perception systems for Physical AI operating in complex environments. The company combines custom silicon, integrated sensors, and software into a unified platform for robotics, mobility, and next-generation automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead system-level architecture, design and integration for robotic and Physical AI platforms
• Own requirements decomposition, subsystem interfaces, and engineering requirement specifications
• Drive system validation and verification (V&V), including test plans and production qualification
• Establish and lead rigorous engineering review processes including PDRs and CDRs
• Partner with AI and perception teams to translate autonomy requirements into hardware specifications
• Lead system-level FMEA, risk analysis, and mitigation planning
• Manage NPI execution from EVT through DVT, PVT, and mass production
• Build and lead a high-performing team of mechanical and systems integration engineers

Requirements

• BS/MS/PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or Systems Engineering
• 12+ years of experience developing and shipping complex hardware systems
• 5+ years in engineering leadership
• Proven experience delivering robotic, autonomous, or automotive hardware products
• Deep expertise in system integration across mechanical, sensing, and thermal systems
• Hands-on expertise with 3D CAD tools like SolidWorks, NX, or CATIA
• Experience with DFM/DFA/DFT and NPI management with global suppliers
• Proficiency with simulation tools including FEA and CFD

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience shipping humanoid robots or autonomous vehicles
• Familiarity with automotive functional safety standards like ISO 26262
• Experience managing manufacturing partners across Asia and Europe
