About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for wellness coaching, health promotion, nutrition counseling, and interpersonal violence advocacy.
- Supervise a multidisciplinary team of five full-time staff members, including Associate and Assistant Directors.
- Manage a departmental budget of approximately $1 million, ensuring efficient resource allocation and alignment with institutional goals.
- Deliver direct student support through individual coaching, case management, and frontline advocacy.
- Develop and implement culturally sensitive, theory-based health education initiatives and outreach programs.
- Partner with campus stakeholders and community health providers to support a holistic, collaborative care model.
- Ensure unit compliance with state laws, federal mandates, and accreditation standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 7 years of related experience OR a Master's degree with 5 years of related experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of direct supervisory experience, including staff training and evaluation.
- Proven experience in financial management and budget oversight.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Expertise in young adult development and experience working with college-age populations.
- Experience working within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary healthcare team.
- Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) or Certified in Public Health (CPH) designation.
