Director, Village Projects and Facilities

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across Village Space Planning, Project Management, Accessibility, Training Venues, Facility Management, and Venue lifecycle management
• Oversee planning and delivery of Village infrastructure including residential, training, and operational spaces
• Ensure all venues meet accessibility standards and inclusive design principles
• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of facility operations from maintenance to Games-time support
• Establish project management systems to track progress, risks, and milestones
• Oversee technology integration, material planning (FF&E), procurement, and resource allocation
• Lead readiness activities including simulations, walkthroughs, and operational testing

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in project, facilities, or event operations management
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams and complex stakeholders
• Expertise in project management tools such as Smartsheet, SharePoint, or MS Project
• Deep understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design
• Ability to work onsite in Downtown Los Angeles and travel locally or domestically

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Facility Management, Urban Planning, Logistics, Event Management, or Hospitality
• Familiarity with Olympic/Paralympic operations or major sporting events
