About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy for the U.S. affiliate to align with business objectives.
  • Define data acquisition strategies by evaluating diverse data offerings and establishing sourcing priorities.
  • Design and implement a data governance framework to support effective data use while maintaining regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with Commercial, Medical Affairs, Legal, Compliance, and IT teams to implement policies regarding data integrity, security, and accessibility.
  • Ensure compliance with GxP, HIPAA, and other applicable data privacy and security regulations.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to data management and support regulatory audits and assessments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in data strategy, governance, or management within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Deep knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards such as GxP and HIPAA.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a quickly changing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Understanding of Oncology-specific pharmaceutical industry data sets relevant to the US market.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies including AI, machine learning, and big data solutions.
  • Experience working within a country organization or a start-up environment.
