Director, Test Site Operations

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of engineers and technicians for engine test operations, test stand build, and engine assembly
• Oversee operations and maintenance of test infrastructure
• Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and schedules for multi-departmental projects
• Manage external contractors and suppliers
• Improve test site infrastructure to support high-cadence engine testing
• Oversee site administration, supply chain, and logistics
• Ensure the health and safety of the team

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or a related technical discipline
• 10+ years of experience in Propulsion Engineering and/or Propulsion Test leadership
• Demonstrated experience supporting high-paced technical projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in an engineering discipline
• Direct experience with liquid natural gas or liquid methane as a rocket propellant
• Technical expertise in sub-component to full flight system testing
• Software development experience for data acquisition and control systems
• Working knowledge of complex IT systems associated with propulsion testing
