Director, Technical Lead Forward Deployed Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for the Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) team, including scaling delivery and setting technical standards.
• Champion production discipline by enforcing best practices in context engineering, evaluation, and operational readiness.
• Provide hands-on leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers, fostering a culture of high talent density.
• Facilitate collaboration across client stakeholders, from engineers to the C-suite, to design creative AI systems.
• Drive delivery in fast-paced, outcome-accountable environments using two-to-six-week development cycles.
• Spearhead the use of modern development accelerators to increase delivery capacity and quality.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience shipping end-to-end production secure software systems, specifically focusing on data, machine learning, and AI-native applications.
• At least 5 years of experience in a hands-on technical leadership role.
• Deep knowledge of modern AI technologies, including context engineering, evaluation discipline, and model strategy.
• Proven expertise with cloud platforms such as Azure, GCP, or AWS.
• Bachelor's degree in a science or engineering field from an accredited institution.
• Ability to demonstrate prior work via a portfolio, GitHub repository, or structured system walkthrough.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working directly with executive-level stakeholders (CIO, CISO, CFO) to drive technical decisions.
• Proficiency with modern AI development tools and accelerators.
