About the role
Responsibilities
- Administer the University’s student conduct code and process, serving as the lead conduct officer for nonacademic misconduct.
- Adjudicate individual student cases through formal hearings and facilitate alternative dispute resolution processes.
- Coordinate with the Title IX Coordinator and Sexual Misconduct Advocacy & Response Team to handle allegations of sexual misconduct and interpersonal violence.
- Provide training and supervision to professional and paraprofessional staff regarding conduct processes, incident reporting, and FERPA.
- Oversee the University Student Conduct System and serve as the Maxient super user for case management and data integrity.
- Manage student conduct records and disclosure requests in strict accordance with FERPA regulations.
- Engage and educate off-campus and commuter student populations to ensure awareness of community standards.
- Participate in the Clery Team and the Students of Concern Committee to support campus safety and student well-being.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in counseling, student personnel, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of professional experience in student affairs, with a focus on student conduct.
- Working knowledge of FERPA, Title IX, the Clery Act, and due process regulations.
- Experience with Maxient data management software.
- Strong administrative, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to work evening and weekend hours as necessary to fulfill responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Significant experience adjudicating sexual misconduct cases and providing related outreach and education.
- Experience developing programming and resources specifically tailored to the needs of commuter and off-campus students.
