About the role

Responsibilities

  • Administer the University’s student conduct code and process, serving as the lead conduct officer for nonacademic misconduct.
  • Adjudicate individual student cases through formal hearings and facilitate alternative dispute resolution processes.
  • Coordinate with the Title IX Coordinator and Sexual Misconduct Advocacy & Response Team to handle allegations of sexual misconduct and interpersonal violence.
  • Provide training and supervision to professional and paraprofessional staff regarding conduct processes, incident reporting, and FERPA.
  • Oversee the University Student Conduct System and serve as the Maxient super user for case management and data integrity.
  • Manage student conduct records and disclosure requests in strict accordance with FERPA regulations.
  • Engage and educate off-campus and commuter student populations to ensure awareness of community standards.
  • Participate in the Clery Team and the Students of Concern Committee to support campus safety and student well-being.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in counseling, student personnel, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of professional experience in student affairs, with a focus on student conduct.
  • Working knowledge of FERPA, Title IX, the Clery Act, and due process regulations.
  • Experience with Maxient data management software.
  • Strong administrative, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work evening and weekend hours as necessary to fulfill responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Significant experience adjudicating sexual misconduct cases and providing related outreach and education.
  • Experience developing programming and resources specifically tailored to the needs of commuter and off-campus students.
