Director, Strategy Planning & Operations

Responsibilities

• Partner with the functional VP and Senior Leadership Team to lead strategic initiatives, goal setting, and resource management.
• Spearhead the implementation of global initiatives and track projects to ensure alignment with enterprise objectives.
• Facilitate the development and tracking of functional goals, providing periodic reviews and escalating issues to leadership.
• Develop and maintain management reports and dashboards to derive insights for KPIs and enable strategic decision-making.
• Oversee functional resource and budget management, including headcount planning, demand/capacity reviews, and spend tracking.
• Lead Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Extended Leadership Team (ELT) meetings, including agenda setting, material preparation, and action item follow-up.
• Manage functional communications and team events to ensure effective information cascade and employee engagement.

Requirements

• BS degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 12+ years of relevant in-house pharmaceutical experience.
• Demonstrated depth of understanding regarding the drug development process and program/portfolio management, specifically within clinical development.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to synthesize complex information and think strategically.
• Proven ability to lead through ambiguity and manage multiple high-priority projects under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with experience working across all organizational levels.
• Expertise in MS Office applications, including Teams, Project, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
