Responsibilities
- Scrutinize sub-advisors’ underwriting independently
- Interrogate and pressure-test structural elements of each deal
- Generate recommendations for the Investment Committee to accept or reject recommendations
- Diligence managers by evaluating underwriting standards, loss experience, and portfolio construction
- Source additional sub-advisors to broaden deal flow
- Monitor assigned positions including KPIs, covenant compliance, and borrowing-base reporting
- Lead watchlist and workout analysis when positions deteriorate
Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience in specialty finance and asset-backed lending underwriting
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related quantitative discipline
- Quantitative skills and ability to implement AI tools for analysis
- Experience with corporate cash-flow credit, asset-backed structures, or dislocated liquid credit
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in specialty finance or ABL investing for those applying via the Returnship/Return to Work Program
