Director, Solutions Engineering

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of Solutions Engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
• Define the solutions engineering strategy aligned with company revenue goals and establish best practices for technical evaluations and solution design.
• Partner with Sales to provide technical support for strategic enterprise opportunities and lead high-complexity customer discussions.
• Design and architect scalable, secure technical solutions that address customer needs, including LMS integrations, APIs, and data privacy standards.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Customer Success, and Onboarding teams to shape product roadmaps and ensure seamless customer handoffs.
• Track and report on key departmental metrics such as technical win rates, sales cycle length, and team performance.

Requirements

• 6–12+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Technical Consulting, or Solution Architecture.
• 2–5+ years of demonstrable team leadership or management experience.
• Proven experience in EdTech, SaaS, or enterprise software environments.
• Strong understanding of the EdTech ecosystem, including LMS platforms and data integration technologies.
• Ability to design and architect complex technical solutions and communicate them effectively to both technical and executive audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Artificial Intelligence technologies, including generative AI or machine learning.
• Technical background in software engineering, IT, or systems architecture.
• Experience with CRM systems like Salesforce and various demo platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
