Director, Solution Architecture

Responsibilities

• Own the execution, reliability, and modernization of all technology platforms supporting mortgage origination
• Manage day-to-day performance and availability of division technology platforms, including LOS, integrations, and data systems
• Partner with Production, Operations, Compliance, and Finance leadership to translate business strategy into technology roadmaps
• Execute against enterprise architecture standards, focusing on cloud-first, API-first, and modular design
• Ensure applications and development processes comply with SOX, NYDFS, and data governance requirements
• Lead application modernization, system performance optimization, and technical debt reduction
• Build and mentor a high-performing technology team while fostering engineering rigor
• Oversee automation initiatives and the expansion of data capabilities to improve operational visibility

Requirements

• 8–12+ years of progressive technology leadership experience
• Experience in regulated financial services, with mortgage industry experience preferred
• Demonstrated success leading engineering, infrastructure, or enterprise applications teams
• Experience managing technology budgets and vendor contracts
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Azure
• Experience modernizing legacy systems and working with API-driven or microservices architectures

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or a relevant advanced degree
• Experience implementing automation or AI-enabled tools within regulated environments
