Director Software Engineering - Agentic AI

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a multi-year AI strategy for Platform Engineering aligned with business objectives.
• Own the vision and delivery roadmap for the Agentic SDLC Platform, integrating AI agents into code review, test automation, and release workflows.
• Lead the design and production operation of agentic AI infrastructure using LangGraph, LangChain, and Azure services.
• Establish AI governance frameworks covering model risk, data lineage, and audit trails in accordance with SOX, OCC, and FFIEC standards.
• Hire, develop, and retain a high-performing team of AI engineers, platform architects, and ML practitioners.
• Partner with CIO, CTO, and executive leadership to shape AI adoption priorities and investment justifications.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive technology leadership experience, including at least 3 years in a director-level role.
• Deep expertise in LLM orchestration frameworks, specifically LangGraph and LangChain.
• Hands-on experience with agentic AI patterns, RAG pipelines, and vector databases (e.g., pgvector, Pinecone).
• Extensive experience with Azure Platform services, including AKS, Cosmos DB, and Azure AD.
• Proven track record of delivering production AI systems within highly regulated environments (Financial Services or Healthcare preferred).
• Strong knowledge of AI governance and regulatory standards such as SOX, OCC, and FFIEC.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GitHub Enterprise ecosystem, including Copilot and large-scale repository management.
• Background in developer experience (DevEx) platforms or platform engineering as a product.
• Advanced degree (MBA or MS) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Familiarity with knowledge graph integration (Neo4j) and medallion data architectures.
