Director SOC Design Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead SOC design execution and drive design activities through to successful tape-outs
• Manage people, including performance management, career development, and hiring
• Collaborate with leadership on SOC planning, scheduling, resource demand, and critical path analysis
• Partner with architecture teams on high-level and micro-architecture definitions
• Oversee all aspects of design execution including IP integration, Lint, CDC, RDC, and low-power implementation
• Coordinate with DV and PD teams to ensure quality metrics, test plan reviews, and physical design requirements are met
• Drive ECOs to successful implementation and resolve technical bottlenecks through regular scrums and meetings

Requirements

• 15-25 years of strong experience in SOC design
• BE/B.Tech/ME/MTECH/MS in ECE, EEE, or an equivalent field
• Expertise in SOC integration and implementation, including IP integration, fabrics, and low-power design
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Proficiency with design and implementation tools such as VCS, Spyglass (Lint/CDC/RDC), and Synthesis tools
• Deep understanding of SOC architecture and system bus/IO protocols (e.g., AXI, PCIe, Memory)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multi-die methodology and system integration solutions
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl, Python, TCL, or Shell
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
