Director, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end SEC reporting process for periodic and current reports including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K
• Establish SEC reporting governance, disclosure controls, and review standards
• Serve as the Workiva (Wdesk) platform owner, managing templates, iXBRL/XBRL tagging, and EDGAR filing
• Identify complex transactions and perform technical research to draft accounting memoranda
• Maintain the SEC filing calendar and drive cross-functional deliverables across Finance, Legal, and Tax
• Prepare recurring technical accounting memoranda for various ASC topics
• Lead external auditor engagement for SEC reporting and technical accounting matters
• Leverage NetSuite Financial Report Writer to produce and validate reporting outputs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Active California CPA
• 10+ years of accounting experience, including SEC reporting for a U.S. listed company
• At least 3 years of experience in public accounting
• Expert-level, hands-on Workiva (Wdesk) experience
• Expert knowledge of NetSuite Financial Report Writer
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC rules, and SOX 404
• Ability to work onsite in the office 5 days a week
