About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of enterprise risk management frameworks and support the multi-year GRC strategy within the Operational Non-Financial Risk group.
  • Provide strategic direction and coordinate across multiple risk and compliance stakeholders in the 1st and 2nd lines of defense.
  • Develop and maintain policies, standards, methodologies, and controls to increase transparency and consistency across groups.
  • Interpret new regulations and assess their impact on the existing governance framework.
  • Design regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards to provide data-driven insights for business decision-making.
  • Manage resources and lead the execution of strategic initiatives to deliver on business and financial goals.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and serve as a primary contact for internal and external stakeholders, including regulators.

Requirements

  • 9+ years of relevant experience in risk management or a related field.
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Expert knowledge of operational risk management practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Expert knowledge of risk policy frameworks and quality control/testing frameworks.
  • Expert analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Expert verbal and written communication, influence, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage ambiguity and lead cross-functional collaboration.
